 DIY Rat Trap Using a Bucket and Pipe – No Poison, Just Smart Thinking.



Rats can be a serious problem at home, especially in food storage areas. But buying poison or metal traps is not always the best or safest option.

Here’s a simple homemade rat trap that works like magic using just what you already have at home.


NEEDS

1 Wire net to cover the bucket and hold a pipe 

1 deep plastic bucket (white and transparent works well)

1 small pipe or bottle neck (inserted into the side or top of the bucket)

1 long stick or rope (acts as a climbing path for the rats)


Food as bait (e.g. maize, peanuts, dried fish or anything attractive to rats)


 How It Works:


The rats are attracted by the smell of food inside the bucket.

They climb the rope, enter through the pipe, and fall into the bucket.

Because of the smooth walls and the pipe angle, they can’t escape.

Panya wanaweza kuwa tatizo kubwa nyumbani, hasa kwenye maeneo ya kuhifadhia chakula. Lakini si lazima kununua sumu au mitego ya chuma.

Huu hapa ni mtego rahisi unaotengenezwa nyumbani, unaofanya kazi kwa ufanisi mkubwa.


Mahitaji:

Wavu Kwa ajiri ya kufunika juu ya ndoo

Ndoo moja ya plastiki (nyeupe na inayoonyesha ndani ni bora)

Kipande cha paipu au mdomo wa chupa (kinachowekwa juu au pembeni mwa ndoo)

Fimbo ndefu au kamba ya kupandia

Chakula cha kuwavutia panya (mahindi, karanga, au samaki wakavu) 


Jinsi Unavyofanya Kazi:


Panya huvutiwa na harufu ya chakula kilicho ndani ya ndoo.

Hupanda juu kwa kutumia kamba, huingia kupitia paipu, na huangukia ndani ya ndoo.

Kutokana na ukuta wa ndoo kuwa laini na mpangilio wa paipu, hawana uwezo wa kutoka nje.
